Purchasing Coordinator (MEP Projects)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team, focusing on Material Procurement for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing purchase orders for MEP materials, including plumbing, electrical, and fire-fighting equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage purchase orders for MEP projects, including materials for plumbing, electrical, and fire fighting systems.
Liaise with multiple suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and quality materials.
Utilize various software programs, including MS Excel, to prepare, track, and publish Local Purchase Orders (LPOs).
Maintain effective communication with project teams, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and resolve any issues or delays.
Monitor inventory levels and stock availability to avoid project delays and ensure smooth operations.
Support the procurement process from initial sourcing to order delivery, ensuring compliance with project specifications and requirements.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the MEP sector.
Strong knowledge of suppliers and vendors in the UAE, with the ability to navigate the local supply chain effectively.
Excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
Advanced user of MS Excel and other procurement tools for order management and reporting.
Familiarity with procurement processes within the UAE market.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
